smith&hsu Membership System Upgrade

Effective from August 1, 2026

Dear members,

To better connect our online tea house and in-store membership records, smith&hsu will be upgrading our membership system.

Going forward, purchases made through the online tea house and at our physical store will gradually be connected under one membership system. This will allow your purchase history, membership stage, and related member benefits to be managed more clearly in one place.

The new membership system will take effect on August 1, 2026.

New Membership Stages
After the upgrade, smith&hsu members will be grouped into three stages.

First Leaf 初羽
Your first encounter with smith&hsu. Members join upon registration and may begin accumulating purchases and member benefits.

Seven Bowls 七碗
For those who have clearly come back for more than one cup. Members who reach a total accumulated purchase amount of NT$5,000 will receive 5% off regular-priced products.

Yuchuan Reserve 玉川
Reserved for those who have continued further into tea. Members who reach a total accumulated purchase amount of NT$15,000 will receive 10% off regular-priced products.

Member discounts apply to regular-priced products only. Selected promotional items, special products, project-based items, or other exclusions will be subject to the announcements shown in store or on the official website.

Updates for Existing Online Members
Existing online tea house members do not need to register again. Your membership stage will be updated automatically according to your current online membership level.

Existing Bronze members will become First Leaf 初羽.
Existing Silver members will become Seven Bowls 七碗.
Existing Gold members will become Yuchuan Reserve 玉川.

With this system upgrade, membership names and selected benefits will be adjusted according to the new membership structure. From August 1, 2026, future membership upgrades will also be calculated according to the new system.

Updates for Existing In-store Members
To make sure existing in-store customers are properly carried into the new system, in-store membership records will be converted as a one-time update.

Existing in-store customers who have purchase records but were not yet in-store members will be upgraded to Seven Bowls 七碗.

Existing in-store members will be upgraded to Yuchuan Reserve 玉川.

Your previous in-store membership record will not be restarted. It will be carried into the new membership system.

Birthday and New Member Benefits
After the upgrade, birthday benefits will be unified as a NT$100 birthday store credit, valid for 60 days.

New members will continue to receive a NT$50 new member store credit, valid for 60 days.

Any unused store credit already shown in your member account will remain in your account. The actual available amount and expiry date should be checked directly in your member account.

Members may log in to the online tea house to view their current membership stage, store credit, and related benefits.

What Members Need to Do
After the membership system upgrade is completed, in-store members who have left a mobile number with us will receive an SMS notification from the system starting August 1, 2026.

Please follow the instructions in the SMS to log in to the online tea house and confirm or complete your member information. This will help connect your in-store membership record with the online membership system.

We recommend confirming your name, mobile number, email address, and birthday. These details help us verify your membership, send important notifications, and issue birthday store credit.

If you were previously an in-store member but do not receive an SMS notification, please contact smith&hsu customer service or our official social media team. We will help you check your membership record.

Existing online tea house members do not need to register again. Your existing account will continue to accumulate purchases and related benefits according to the updated membership stage.

About This Upgrade
This membership system upgrade will gradually bring our in-store and online tea house membership records into one connected system.

We hope that, in the future, every purchase made through the online tea house or at our physical store can be more clearly recorded and carried forward under one membership system.
